Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 ounce dark chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp red food coloring
  • 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 ounce cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Butter bottom and sides of a 8 inch pan. Pu a long sheet of parchment paper on the bottom and spray that as well.
In a small bowl heat butter and chocolate together. stir until combined and very smooth. Set aside to cool for a few minutes.
In a large bowl whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Add chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Add flour and salt and stir until combined.
Pour into prepared pan. spread evenly.
To prepare cheesecake mixture, beat cream cheese, sugar,egg,and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth. Distribute the mixture in dollops over the batter. Take a knife and swirl.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes until the brownies are set. A knife inserted should come out clean.
Lift out of pan and cool completely and then cut into 24 small brownies.
