Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white syrup
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell (deep dish)

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs and sugar until thick; add corn syrup, nuts, and vanilla. Pour into pie shell.

Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. More nuts may be added to the top if you wish.

(Mine always takes considerably longer to bake. Maybe as much as 20 minutes or more. Bake it until it doesn't jiggle too much.)
