Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup pinepple juice
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 medium apples, diced with skins on
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, broken small pieces
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, pineapple juice, salt and lemon juice in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. Let cool. Stir in celery, pineapple, apples and nuts. fold in whipped cream. Spoon into 8" square pan or individual molds. Freeze, garnish with maraschino cherries; Allow to come to room temp 20 minutes before serving.
