Ingredients
- 1 head Romaine lettuce
- 1 head watercress
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- Salt and coarsely ground black pepper to taste
- 10 black olives
Preparation
Step 1
Rinse lettuce and tear into bite-size pieces. Rinse watercress, tear off stem ends and discard. In large salad bowl, combine lettuce, watercress, tomatoes and red onion slices. If not using immediately, cover and refrigerate.
To make dressing, in small bowl, whisk together oil and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
Just before serving, toss salad with just enough dressing to coat. Garnish with olives.
