Chocolate Cookie Crust

Ingredients

  • 16 single cream Oreo cookies, broken into rough pieces
  • 4 Tbsp. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Preparation

Step 1

Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Process the cookies in a food processor until coarsely ground, about 15 pulses, then continue to process to fine, even crumbs, about 15 seconds. Sprinkle the butter over the crumbs and pulse to incorporate.

Sprinkle the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate. Using the bottom of a measuring cup, press the crumbs into an even layer on the bottom and sides of the pie plate.

Bake at 350 degrees until the crust is fragrant and looks set, 10-15 minutes.
