Chicken/Buttermilk Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4-8 drops hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp OldBay Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cups corn flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Mix hot sauce and buttermilk together and soak chicken for one hour. Next combine all the other dry ingredients together and dip or "dredge" the chicken in the mixture and fry for about 6 minutes turning once. Season with salt and pepper. Can be used as a sandwich using a long baguette.
