Ingredients

  • Deli Counter:
  • Pillsbury pizza dough opened up and spread out on an ungreased cookie sheet
  • 1/4 lb pepperoni sliced paper thin but not shredded
  • 1/4 lb. low salt ham sliced paper thin but not shredded
  • 1/2 lb sharp provolone sliced as thin as possible but not shredded - lots of cheese is good!
  • optional: 1/4 lb. genoa salami sliced paper thin but not shredded (I leave this out, not everyone likes salami)

Preparation

Step 1

lay out the coldcuts covering the pizza dough -ham, then the cheese, then pepperoni - put the cheese between the meats, not next to the dough
roll up the whole thing like a jelly roll and pinch the ends - flip the jelly roll and place on cookie sheet with the seam down (the hardest part is the flip)
beat an egg yolk and smear all over the top - can use fingers
sprinkle top with sesame seeds

Bake according to pizza dough directions - done when golden brown
