Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened baking chocolate, melted, cooled

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add sour cream, egg, orange juice, orange peel and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, baking soda and salt. Beat, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

Pour cooled melted chocolate over batter; swirl batter with knife for marbled effect.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
