SEAFOAM CANDY

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar

Preparation

Step 1


Combine sugar, water, salt and cream of tartar. Cover and boil 5 minutes. Wipe sides of pan with damp cloth. Boil, without stirring, until reaches ball stage. Pour slowly over beaten egg whites. Beat constantly. Add flavoring and continue beating until candy holds shape when dropped on wax paper.
