- 2 pounds flank steak, 1/2 inch thick
- 1/4 cup Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
- Butter
Preparation
Step 1
Poke some holes in the flank steak with a sharp knife about 1/8 of an inch deep in the shape of an “X.” Mash the garlic with the mustard, stir in the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and pour mixture over the steak. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before cooking, set out at room temperature for two hours. On the grill, cook on high heat three to five minutes per side, adding butter to each side as you go. Remove steak from heat and slice immediately by cutting across the grain into ¼ inch thick slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper..
