  • 8 T. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 t. baking powder
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

heat the oven to 325. Melted the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir in the sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool. Butter a 9" square baking pan. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Beat the eggs one at a time into the sugar mixture. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture gradually. Stir in the pecans. Pour into the prepared pan and bake until blondies come away from the sides of the pan, 50-60 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
