Ingredients
- 4 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar, depending on the sweetness of the potatoes
- 4 Tablespoons butter

Step 1
1. Place the potatoes and sugar in a large pot and add water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until tender.
2. Using a slotted spoon, remove the potatoes and place them in a serving bowl.
3. Dot with butter and serve immediately.
