Mocha Crumb Crust

Ingredients

  • 40 vanilla wafers
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a food processor, add cookies, sugar, cocoa, and instant coffee. Pulse or blend until cookies are completely crushed.

Pour into a small bowl. Pour melted butter over crumb mixture and stir well. Pour into pie pan (or spring-form pan for cheesecakes) and press evenly along the bottom and up the sides. (Note: For cheesecakes it will only go up about an inch of a 9-inch spring-form pan)

Bake for 8 minutes. Remove and place on wire rack to cool.
