    store-bought frozen puff pastry sheet (thawed)

  • Flour to lightly dust your work surface

    ounces grated cheddar cheese

    fluid ounces (one and a bit cups) milk, warmed

  • Salt and pepper to season

  • Small muffin tin

  • Round cookie cutter


1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees (200 degrees centigrade). 2. Lay the pastry on a clean, lightly-floured, work surface. 3. Using a cookie cutter cut the pastry into rounds. 4. Press the pastry rounds into the muffin tin cups. 5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. 6. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, with a fork, beat together the eggs. Season with a little salt and pepper. 7. Add the warm milk and the grated cheese, and beat again. 8. Remove the muffin pan from the fridge and fill each pastry cup with the egg and cheese mixture. 9. Pop in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
