Ingredients
- 1 cinnamon stick
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- ½ tsp. Ground cloves
- ½ tsp. Ground ginger
- ½ tsp. Ground coriander
- 1 star anise
- 2 cups low fat milk
- 3 bags Indian black tea (Assam)
- 1/3 cup honey
Preparation
Step 1
1.In a small bowl combine all spices and set aside.
2.In a medium saucepan bring milk and 1 quart water to a boil and whisk in spice mixture. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
3.Remove from heat, add tea bags and let sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
4.Strain the tea. Add honey and stir well. Serve.
