Ingredients
- 2 pkg lady fingers
- 1/2 lb butter
- 1/2 C sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 5 T ground toasted blanched almonds
- 1/2 c cold coffee
- 2 t vanilla
- 1/2 lb whipped cream
- 1 pkg slivered almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
Add egg yolks, one at a time, mix well after each addition.
Add 5 T ground almonds. Add cold coffee, a few drops at a time.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Line 2 quart container with lady fingers, cover with batter and top with another layer of lady fingers. Chill
Before serving, whip 1/2 lb whipping cream with T sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla and spread on top.
Top with slivered almonds.
