Ingredients
- 1 , 1 - 1 1/2 lb beef flank steak
- 1 , 10 1/2 oz can condensed beef broth
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated gingerroot
- 1 bunch green onions, sliced diagonally into 1" pieces
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 3 T cornstarch
- 2 T water
- 3 oz Chinese pea pods
- 1 1/2 C fresh bean sprouts
- cooked rice
Preparation
Step 1
Thinly slice flank steak diagonally across the grain. In a slow cooker, combine steak, condensed broth, soy sauce, gingerroot, onions and garlic. Cover and cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours or until steak is tender.
Turn control to HIGH. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into sauce in cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened. During the last 5 minutes, drip in pea pods and bean sprouts. Serve over cooked rice.
