Ingredients
- 2 TBS vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup onion (minced)
- 1 1/2 cup rice
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan heat water and bouillon cube over high heat until cube dissolves. Do not bring to a boil.
In large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and saute until clear. Add rice and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in garlic cook for one more minute. Add broth and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 20-25 minutes or until most liquid is absorbed.
