Ingredients
- 5 1/4 lbs cubed beef
- 4 1/2 onions, sliced
- 9 carrots, slicked
- 3 3/4 cups cubed potatoes
- 4 1/2 stalks celery, sliced
- 3/4 lbs fresh mushrooms, quartered
- 1 1/2 (16 ounce) packages frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 1/2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 7 1/2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 tbsp dried rosemary
- 1/2 tbsp dried sage
- 1 tbsp and 1 1/2 tsp dried basil leaves
- salt and pepper to taste
- water or beef broth to cover (2-3 cups)

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 250 F
2. In large, overproof pot, combine been, onions, carrots, potatoes, celery, mushrooms, mixed vegetables, tomatoes. Season with garlic, rosemary, sage, basil, salt, pepper. Pour in water/broth. Cover tightly with foil and bake 5 to 6 1/2 hours.
