Blackberry Pie

Mom's famous little wild blackberry pie.

Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts (see recipe)
  • 4 Cup blackberries
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 1 TBSP butter
  • Cinnamon & Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Make pie crusts. Place one in bottom of pie pan and trim to 1/2" all the way around.

Mix berries, flour & sugar in a bowl. Dump into pie pan. Add the pat of butter on top of the berries. Place second pie crust on top, fold under and flute edges. Poke several holes in top crust with a fork (mom always made a B). Sprinkle top with water and then cinnamon & sugar.

Bake @ 375 for 45 minutes. It's done when it starts to bubble through the crust. Be careful not to let it boil over and burn in the bottom of the oven.
