Ingredients
- 2 cups Dried Beans; Yellow Eye, Kidney, Pea, or Solider
- 1/4 pound Butter
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 3 tablespoon Brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Dry mustard; substitute liquid
- 1 teaspoon Freshly ground pepper
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1/3 - 1/2 pound Canadian bacon; cut up in small pieces
- 2 tablespoon Ketchup
Preparation
Step 1
1. Soak beans overnight.
2. Drain beans and put in a large pot. Cover with water and boil for 60 minutes to soften beans.
3. Drain and transfer to slow cooker.
4. Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Cover with water and cook on high for about 6 hours or until tender.
