Red Beans & Rice

Ingredients

  • One 8oz box Zatarain's New Orleans Style Red Beans & Rice
  • 3 1/4 c water
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 5 oz package small shrimp
  • 6 oz smoked sausage, cut in bite size pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients. Press "white rice" button and cook 30 min. Check rice to see if done to your likeness & stir. Lower rice cooker to "keep warm" and let sit about 10 min. Rice mixture will thicken. Stir and serve! I also steamed some broccoli and sliced carrots at the same time in the cooker.
