CHERRY CHEESE DANISH FOR CROWD

Ingredients

  • 2 Pkgs (8-oz Each) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Tubes (8-oz Each) Refrigerated Crescent-Roll Dough
  • 1 Can Cherry-Pie Filling
  • 1 Egg Yolk Mixed with 1 tsp Water

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a 15½ x 10½ -inch jelly-roll pan.

Mix cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix well.

Unroll 1 tube of crescent-roll dough, pat out with fingers to cover bottom of pan. Warm in oven about 5 minutes or until slightly dry to set bottom crust. Remove from oven and cool slightly.

Spread cheese mixture over crust, push to edges. Scatter cherry-pie filling over cheese.

Separate remaining crescent-roll dough and arrange on top of cherries spacing them evenly, they will not cover completely. Brush triangles with egg glaze.

Bake 30 minutes or until top crust is golden and cheese is set. Cool in pan on wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
