Double Chocolate Crisps

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in chocolate and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.

2. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes or until tops are cracked. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Yield: 4 dozen
