Steak Bruschetta

Ingredients

  • 24 Baguette Slices
  • Olive Oil
  • 1 Garlic Clove, halved
  • 3/4 lb. Boneless Sirloin Steak
  • Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 C. Mayonnaise
  • 1 C. Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • 2 Tbsp. White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Dry Mustard
  • 11/2 C. Tomatoes, seeded & chopped
  • 1/4 C. Fresh Basil, chopped plus Basil Leaves
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450. Brush baguette slices with oil, arrange on a baking sheet & toast 3-5 min, or till golden. Let cool; rub with garlic. Season steak with salt & pepper; heat a skillet over med-high heat. Sear steak 4 min. on each side for med-rare. Let rest 10 min, then dice. Mix mayonnaise, blue cheese, vinegar & mustard together. In a second bowl, toss tomatoes, basil & 2 Tbsp. oil with steak; salt to taste. Spread cheese mixture on toasted bread & top with steak. Garnish with basil leaves & serve.
