Cherry Crisps - Individual
A great idea for individual desserts for company. I made these for Margie Dallabetta's dinner get together 10/03/11.

Ingredients
- 3 cups sweet whole cherries (fresh or frozen with pits removed), thawed
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1-1/2 Tbsp + 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, divided
- 6 Tblsp butter (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup quick oats (I toast mine in the oven for a few minutes to give them a nutty flavor)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 (4 oz) Mason Jelly Jars with lids
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cherries, sugar and 1-1/2 Tbsp. flour. Divide the mixture evenly into the four mason jars, packing the cherries firmly. Remember to leave room at the top of the jars for the crumble.
2. Mix together 3/4 cup of flour, cinnamon, quick oats, and brown sugar. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture becomes crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the cherries.
3. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool completely before adding lids. Keep in refrigerator until ready to give.
