Ingredients
- BATTER:
- 1/4 lb softened butter
- 1/3 c sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c sour cream
- 1/2 c orange juice
- 1 c all purpose flour
- 2 t baking powder
- FILLING:
- 1 8 oz pkg softened cream cheese
- 2 c small curd cottage cheese
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 T sugar
- 1 t vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat overn to 350 degrees. Butter 9 x 13 inch dish. In processor or large bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream, OJ, flour, baking powder (all batter ingredients). Pour 1/2 batter mixture into baking dish.
Drop mixed filling by large tablespoon fulls over batter. Spread with knife. Pour remaining batter over filling.
Can be covered at this point and refrigerated overnight.
Bring to room temperature, then bake uncovered 50 -60 minutes until golden.
Serve with sour cream and fine jam or preserves.
