  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 pineapple juice (room temp)
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Tangzhong
  • Tangzhong: 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup flour



Step 1

Make Tangzhong: in small sauce pan combine water and flour- over medium heat constantly whisking heat till thick. remove from heat and let cool to luke warm

Combine tangzhong, egg, butter, pineapple juice, sugar and vanilla
Add yeast and flour
Knead 15-20 minutes
Let rise till double in size
divided dough in half and on lightly floured surface divide into roll size balls allowing for rising size
place on sprayed cooking sheet and let rise at least 30 minutes
Bske 335* for 25 minutes
