Ingredients
- 12 cups apples
- 4 TBS water or apple cider
- 2 TBS lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
Peel, cut, and place apples in lemon juice. Add apples, sugars, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a large pot. Heat apples until softened. Pass apples and juices through food mill to puree.
