Homemade Miracle Grow

By

I am so not a gardener. I want to be. But it definitely doesn’t come naturally. You would think so considering my Gramma and mom are great at it. But no. So I am determined when we finally get settled into our new house we will have a great garden. {Probably next season}. I am soaking up the gardening advice and tips now so hopefully I will be better prepared. Here are two great tips:

This tip is from my Mom. Put Epsom salts and sugar into each hole with your plant. It makes them grow larger, leafier and greener. It worked for me on my peas last year. So give it a try

Ingredients

  • I use about 1 Table spoon in a 1 to 1 ratio. But I don’t really measure it. You can also dissolve 1 Tablespoon into a gallon of water and use it to water your plants.

Preparation

Step 1

This next tip is for your gardening tools. Do you ever leave your tools out and then get yucky and rusty.

Put them in a container of sand. The sand helps keep them clean, dry, and free of rust or corrosion. It also gives you a place to put your tools when you are done.

Hope these tips help a little bit. And we will see how my gardening attempts come out next season. Wish me luck!!
