Apple pie filling

  • 5 1/2 cup sliced apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • sprinkle of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 unbaked pie shells

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar flour and spices.
Toss with apples.
Still bottom pie shell and dot with butter.
Place top pie shell on and make sure it is vented.
Add whatever glaze you desire.
Bake at 375° for 45 to 50 minutes
