Sea Foam Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Combine brown sugar, egg whites, water and salt in the top of a double boiler. Stir until sugar dissolves (over boiling water). Beat on high for 7 minutes until it holds soft peaks. Remove from heat and stir in flavoring.
