Ingredients
- 5 tea. baking soda
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 5 cups flour
- 4 cups All-Bran cereal
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 2 cups oatmeal
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 tea. salt
- 2 cup 40% Bran Flakes
- 1 cup raisins
Preparation
Step 1
Add the baking soda to the 2 cups boiling water and cool
In large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Mix in rest of the ingredients, adding the water/soda mixture alternately with the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
Store in Tupperware container in refrigerator for up to 6 weks.
Bake at 400 degrees in prepared muffin pan for 18-20 minutes.
