Ice Cream: Homemade Vanilla

Note to self: try this with 7/8 cup sugar rather than 1 and 7/8 cups of sugar. one or the other

Ingredients
- 5 1/4 5 1/4 1/4 cup whole milk
- 9 9 9 egg yolks
- 7/8 7/8 1 7/8 sugar...or it's 1 and 7/8 cups of sugar
- 3 3 3 tablespoons vanilla paste
- 3 3 3 cups whipping cream
- to 5 to manufacture of ice cream makers directions. Add anything you like at the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Preparation
Step 1
Scald the milk. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and the sugar until ribbons form in the bowl when you lift the mixers. Add 1 cup of the hot milk to the bowl, and incorporate into the egg mixture slowly, then add the rest of the milk slowly to the bowl. Put the mixture into a saucepan and cook slowly and low until the back of a spoon is coated with the mixture. Remove from the heat and add vanilla and cream and then cool in the fridge for about 2 hours and then make sure it is cooled completely. Pour into ice-cream machine and process for about 30 minutes and then add anything else you would like and process for 5 more minutes.
