Daddy's Favorite Venison Stew

This recipe dates back to the bachelor days and is great for camping or just for cold times indoors as well. To go full-fledged Gerrald with this dish, serve with hunks of cheddar cheese!

Ingredients
- 1 beef boullion cube
- 1 pkg deer meat (about a lb)
- 3 celery stalks, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (16 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can water
- 1 can mushrooms
- 3 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, sliced

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat. Add rest of ingredients except carrots and potatoes. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for at least 1 hour. Add carrots and potatoes. Cook 1 hour or until vegetables are done.
