Swedish Meat Balls

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs ground beef, or a combo of veal, pork, and beef.
  • 1 bottle of currant jelly (about 12 oz)
  • 1 bottle chili sauce
  • 1 bottle (empty chili sauce) of water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 medium onion, grated

Preparation

Step 1

Form the meat into balls, and brown in a fry pan.

Meanwhile, combine the currant jelly, chili sauce, water, lemon juice, sugar, and grated onion and heat together in a pot.

Simmer the browned meatballs in the sauce, and serve over rice.
