Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground Lamb
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground round Beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 pkgs birdseye steamfresh mixed veggies
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 1/2 oz Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pt Bisto gravy
  • 12 oz red wine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 teaspoons smoke seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Herbs de Provance
  • 4 lbs mashed potatoes

Preparation

Step 1

1. Saute' onions in 4 tbs butter until tender over medium heat (10 mins). Set aside.

2. Saute' Lamb & Beef in 4 tbs of butter until no longer pink. Add salt and pepper. Add Worcestershire. Add 1/2 cup beef broth and cook @ low heat for 10 mins. Add in Bisto and veggies and continue to cook for another 10 mins until thick. Add as much Bisto as necessary to thicken.

3. Prepare mashed potatoes.

4. Place beef mixture in greased pan and top with mashed potatoes. Rough up to form peaks.

5. Cook in 400 degree oven until bubbling about 30 mins. Broil for 10 minutes or until desired browness.
