Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar
- 1 egg -optional
- 2 teaspoons brandy or brandy flavor
Preparation
Step 1
Cream the butter in a mixing bowl.
Gradually add sugar; continue beating until light and fluffy, blend in salt, boiling water, brandy or brandy flavoring, and vanilla.
Optional:
(An egg yolk may be beaten in with the butter and sugar.)
In a separate bowl, beat the egg white until stiff.
The egg white, which has been beaten stiff, is then added at the end.)
Chill until serving time
