Ingredients
- For the filling:
- 3 1/2 ounces/100g butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 1/2 ounces/100 g soft light brown sugar
- 3 1/2 ounces/100 g toasted pecans, chopped*
- For the dough:
- 13 ounces/375 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ounce/25 g caster sugar
- 2 ounces/50 g butter, softened
- 1 egg, beaten
- 7 fluid ounces/200 ml milk
- For the icing:
- 3 ounces/75 g icing sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons boiling water

These sweet, buttery and nutty treats are delicious with a cup of tea or coffee.
Normally made with a yeast-risen dough, the buns in this recipe are made using a
slightly faster method.
