German Chocolate Frosted Brownies

Ingredients
- BROWNIES:
- 1 cup Butter or Margarine
- 1/2 cup Cocoa
- 4 Eggs
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 cup Chocolate Morsels or Chocolate Chips
- GERMAN CHOCOLATE "FROSTING":
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cups chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
FILLING (Make 1 day ahead of time to allow time to cool):
1. In a saucepan combine 1 cup sugar, evaporated milk, 1/2 cup butter, and 3 egg yolks. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
2. Remove from heat. Stir in coconut, pecans and vanilla. Cool until thick enough to spread (overnight, if possible).
BROWNIES:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2 metal baking pan. (SUGGESTION: Dust pan with Cocoa to avoid "white powder" on brownies.
3. Mix all ingredients in bowl.
4. Pour into pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
5. "Frost" brownies by dropping frosting onto baked brownies and spreading.
6. Broil on high for 4 - 6 minutes.
