Easy Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 cup
- cake or all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sliced peaches, reserved in bowl
- Fresh Nutmeg

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
If peaches are not very sweet, sprinkle with sugar and allow to sit in bowl.
Place butter in 13 by 9-inch baking dish. Place dish in oven to melt butter. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in large bowl. Stir in milk and vanilla to form batter. Using oven mitts, remove hot baking dish from oven. Pour batter into baking dish. Spoon peaches and any peach juices evenly over batter. Grate fresh nutmeg over top.
Bake until batter rises and browns on top, about 30 minutes.
