Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • SAUCE
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar and butter till fluffy. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter mixture with milk. Stir till smooth. Spread in 8" baking pan.

Combine sugar and milk. Pour over cake.

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes

Serve warm
