Cheese Sausage Strata

  • 1 1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 9 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 cups milk
  • 9 slices of bread cubed
  • 1 1/2 (6 oz) cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tsp ground mustard



Step 1

Brown sausage until no longer pink and drain. Add the eggs, milk, bread, cheese, bacon and mustard. Pour into a greased shallow 3 quart baking dish, cover and refrigerate over night.

Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake in 350 degree oven, covered for 60-65 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Let it stand for 5 minutes
