Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a large casserole dish with non-stick spray.

In a large frying pan, cook ground beef until browned. Add in chopped onions and garlic, continue stirring until onions are soft, about 5 minutes.

Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, canned tomatoes with the juice included. Simmer about 15 minutes to allow some of the juice to be absorbed.

While the meat is simmering, cook pasta, in a large pot, according to package directions. Make sure not to overcook, as the casserole will be cooked in the oven.

Drain pasta. Add the meat mixture to the noodles. Pour into casserole dish. Top with cheese. Bake approximately 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let casserole cool slightly, add fresh tomatoes and serve with sour cream on the side.
