Parmesan Garlic Bread
Crusty bread with roasted garlic and cheese between each slice.
- 1 loaf of your favorite french or italian bread
- 1/2 C butter,room temperature
- 1/3 C grated parmesan
- 3 cloves garlic, roasted and mashed *see note
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice the bread into 1/2 inch slices but not completely through, you want the bread to stay in it's loaf shape. In a small bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients. Spread a dollop of the butter mixture between each slice, reserving some to spread on top of the loaf. Wrap the bread in foil leaving the top uncovered. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the butter and cheese have made a crust on top of the bread. Enjoy!
*Place three peeled garlic cloves and 1 tsp olive oil in a foil packet in the oven at 350 degrees. Roast the garlic for 10 minutes until the cloves are soft and lightly browned.
