Beef and Mushroom Casserole

Ingredients

  • 350 g of chuck steak
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 100 g baby mushrooms
  • 100 g baby onions
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1 cup water, extra
  • 1 Tbsp, tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Step 1

Remove all visible fat from steak, cut steak into bite-sized pieces. Toss steak in flour. Heat water in a pan, stir in steak, cook for 3 minutes, stir in remaining ingredients.

Bring to a boil, simmer, covered, for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.

Remove bay leaf before serving
