Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 can Italian paste + 1 can of water
  • 1 large can puree
  • 3 Full TBS sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pinches basil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound lasagne noodles
  • 1/2 pound ricotta
  • 1/2 pound mozzerella ( shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Preparation

Step 1

Brown the garlic and onion in a little shortening or oil
Add paste and water-- blend
Add Puree, sugar and salt and basil

cook for 2 hours on a very low flame--
Check and stir often

Brown the beef with additional onion ( small amt)
Add browed beef to sauce when sauce has finished cooking

Meanwhile cook noodles and cool.

When all is ready
alternate strips of lasagne with sauce, ricotta, mozerella, and parm.
Tops with a thin layer of sauce.
Place in oven and bake for about 20 minutes
