How to make SNOW ice cream
I have quite the treat for you today! Chocolate chip OREO cookie bars. We were doing our usual Sunday baking this past week and planned to make
Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl with a mixer. Add in eggs and vanilla and stir until combined. Mix the baking powder and salt with 1 cup of flour. Pour into the butter mixture and stir in the rest of the flour. Fold in OREO's and chocolate chips.
Line a 13x9 with foil and press dough into pan with flour on your hands. Place in oven and bake for 25-35 minutes on until lightly browned. Oven temps will vary. Test with a tooth pick.
My college cafeteria used to make something like these. They only had them about every other week. Since they were “rare” I ate 3-4 at a time. I still frequent alumni events catered by the same people and always squeal if they have these. I plan on trying these as soon as Oreos make it to my kitchen! :) I think the brown sugar will make them super yummy!
I love finding recipes to the treats I’ve always loved! I hope they taste similar to your cafeterias recipe so you can make them whenever you want! :)
