Ingredients

  • CRUST

  • 2

    cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 1/3

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    cup melted butter

  • FILLING

  • 2

    packages or 2 tbls. Gelatin

  • 1/4

    cup cold water

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    cup milk

  • 2

    eggs, separated

  • 1

    pound creamed cottage cheese, small curd

  • 2

    teaspoons vanilla

  • 1

    pint whipping cream

Directions

Line 13x9x2 pan sides and bottom with crust ingredients reserve approx. 1/4 cup. Blend cottage cheese in food processor until absolutely smooth. Remove to large mixing bowl. Melt gelatin in cold water. Boil together sugar, beaten egg yolks and milk. Let boil and turn off. Add gelatin mixture to hot mixture and dissolve. Add hot mixture to smooth cottage cheese beating slowly. Add vanilla and beat again. Beat egg whites and add to mixture. Beat whipping cream and fold into mixture. Pour into crumb lined pan. Chill overnight. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
