Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 pkg (40 reg) or 4 cups miniature (2 cups marsh cream)
  • 5 cups rice krispie cereal

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in a large sauce pan over low heat. Add marshmellows and stir until completely melted. Cook over low heat 3 minutes longer stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add rice krispie cereal, stir until well coated.

Using a buttered spatula press mixture into a buttered 13 X 9 pan. Cut into squares when cool.

Peanut butter variation - stir 1/4 cup p.b. just before cereal.
